Health Officials Confirm Clark County’s Second Coronavirus Disease 2019
WINCHESTER, KY. (March 18, 2020) – – Officials from the Clark County Health Department are reporting
Clark County’s second case of COVID-19 (2019 novel coronavirus) confirmed by the state lab. Health
officials are working with the Kentucky Department for Public Health (DPH) to identify and speak with all
those who may have come in close contact with the person while they were contagious. These
individuals will be monitored for fever and respiratory symptoms.
Additional details about this individual cannot be provided because of medical privacy laws.
To help answer the community’s questions about COVID-19, the Clark County Health Department, City
of Winchester and County Officials will be hosting a Facebook live session at 6pm on March 19, 2020
from the Clark County Health Department page. WWKY will also feature community information on COVID-19 each week day at 12:15PM.
