Most men are aware that healthy lifestyle choices, like eating well, not smoking, and exercising regularly, along with regular medical checkups can increase their chances of living a longer, healthier life.
Currently in America:
·29 million men have high blood pressure (hypertension)
·50 million men have high cholesterol
·8 million men have diabetes.
Here are just a few men’s health facts:
·Men, on average, die almost six years earlier than women.
·Women are 100% more likely to visit the doctor for annual examinations and preventive services than men.
·Men suffer hearing loss at 2x the rate of women.
·69% of men 20 years and over are overweight.
·By the age of 100, women outnumber men eight to one.
·Around 17% of those under the age of 65 are without health insurance coverage.
·Undiagnosed depression in men results in men being 4 times as likely to commit suicide.
